Pink, Pink, or How About Pink?

Children are fascinating creatures. Mini reflections of adults, they keep life interesting. They are annoying, adorable, fun, curious, full of energy and life, and you never know what they are going to say.
No need to tell you this, right?
My niece is no different.
Yes, I admit it. And though I love her and, yes, spoil her, she is special.
And I'm not at all biased, I assure you.
Like most six-year-old girls, she loves pink. Pink everything: Clothes, toys, shoes, hair ties, you name it, and it's gotta be pink. Sadly, my sister has contributed to this by dressing her in many shades of pink since the minute she was born.
I had nothing to do with it, I swear!
A couple of weeks ago, yes, before my blog hit the world, my sister, said niece, and I went to a local movie rental store. As my sister was checking out her purchases, my niece saw a gumball machine and, in the way of children when faced with the prospect of getting candy, immediately wanted one. My sister said she could have one if my niece went out to the car and got her change out of her purse.
My niece immediately bolted out the door. I followed like any good aunt would and to the car we went.
As the vehicle has child safety locks on the back doors, my niece was unable to get in, so I opened the driver's side door and crawled in. Reaching in the back by her booster-seat, I immediately snagged a small PINK change purse and held it up for my niece's inspection.
"Is it this one?" I asked.
She immediately corrected me.
"No." she said to me. "It's in the pink one."
I looked by her booster seat.
There were three purses sitting there.
And every one of them was pink.
Of course, I should have known exactly which purse she was wanting because I'm clairvoyant and, sadly, my niece never got her gum-ball and had to chew her Hubba Bubba gum, instead, which was, oh-so-surprising, in a pink container, but there you have it.
True story, I swear.
Now I invite you toshare your story. Do you have an amusing and true story about your child, niece, nephew, grandchild, third cousin twice removed, or life in general?
Go ahead, we would love to hear it.
